SPL STATUS-SPL PACKAGE TO AP(PART 4)

Polavaram project which is life line for coastal andhra is promised as 100% central project in state reorganisation bill and thanks to BJP for reassuring the same in recent announcement by Jaitly. 

Our CM is assuring completion of project by 2018. GOI has to give assured funding to accomplish the goal. 

The confusions related to considering pattiseema expenditure in polavaram, funding cap to polavaram as suggested by neetiayog, doubts expressed by BJP leaders on project completion by 2018; CM's statement on reduction of dam size to copper dam vs GOI assurance to complete the project as for designs approved by CWC are to cleared.

Otherwise the project will see lot of hurdles and completion target will not be met. Uma Bharati,her team and all stakeholders are to be taken into confidence and very transparent implementation strategy has to put in place. Though the implementation is with state, GOI can put systems in place so that funding will be provided based on utilization and the possible legal hurdles can be handled.
