FIRST IN PROMISE -LAST IN DELIVERY

FIRST IN PROMISE -LAST IN DELIVERY There is no halt to Govt failures in agrarian front and seems no one is interested in finding sustainable solutions, What is the use of increase in MSP for Agri produce if Govt is not having any implementation plans. The MSP VS Market prices for maize : 1700/1275, Black gram : 5600/4100, Green gram: 6975/4200, Redgram: 5675/4200, paddy: 1750/1650. e-NAM: Govt is making tall claims of its success but in reality it is just a paper tiger. The rural infrastructure statistical analysis looks fantastic. In functionality and responsiveness to failures the ground realities are different.  The situation moved  from bad to worst. Yesterday I was in a village where pump sets are not running due to transformers failures and today I moved to another village where there in no power for last three days. The indiscriminate imports of Agri produce is still an issue and pushed our sugar industry and farmers into red zone. The negative impact of de...

ROBUST BUREAUCRACY - VISIONARY THOUGHT OF AMBEDKAR

ROBUST  BUREAUCRACY - VISIONARY THOUGHT OF AMBEDKAR The novel  feature of Indian constitution is that it offers protection to the officialdom and its the only constitution in the world having such protection. Dr. B R Ambedkar understood the problems faced by civil servants in a country having such heterogeneous mass and fought for constitutional protection for the bureaucracy. Dr. Ambedkar felt that the bureaucracy was the spinal cord of the Government and therefore, it is necessary to insulate them from any harassment from the state or from any other preserve quarters of the society. Country's cream of talent is getting into this nobel service and people of the nation, particularly poor have lot of hopes on bureaucracy. Particularly in a situation where political wisdom fail to prevail the role of constitution will come into picture. Bureaucracy is in position to advise, caution or even prevail to protect constitutionally protected interests of the nation and peopl...

POLITICS AROUND ANIMALS – IS IT VISION 2050 & MISSION 2019?

POLITICS AROUND ANIMALS – IS IT VISION 2050 & MISSION 2019? PREAMBLE: Looks like strategies of playing with caste, creed, community, gender, religion, religious minorities, class etc for extracting votes and coming to power have come to an end and political parties are looking for green pastures and innovative strategies. The recent announcement of ban on sale of cattle and camels for non agricultural purpose may be one such strategy to divide and consolidate vote banks integrated with livelihoods and sentiments, revolving around cattle. ANIMAL RIGHTS & LAWS: In fact India is blessed with well defined constitution and lucky to have one of the most comprehensive set of animal protection laws in the world.  Article 51(G) of constitution states that “It shall be the duty of every Indian to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers & wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures”. Keeping the constitutional provis...

REFLECTIONS ON CENTER FOR MEDIA STUDIES (CMS) STUDY ON CORRUPTION

REFLECTIONS  ON CENTRE  FOR MEDIA STUDIES (CMS) STUDY ON CORRUPTION  It’s really alarming to know that baring Kerala & Telangana, the other three southern states stood first to third in corruption index (Karnataka followed by AP & TN). This corruption index is not related to development indicators as the most developed states like Gujarat & Maharashtra or the most under developed states like Bihar, UP did not figure in the top five in corruption index. One correlation we can draw is linking corruption index to the election expenditure, as these three states are spending huge amounts for elections in the country. If the system can prevent election expenditure through bringing  in stringent rules and reforms, the corruption might come down and it will be a good beginning. Governments alone cannot address corruption without public support and commitment.   Certainly the Governments have to have determination and willingness to curb corr...

ONE GOAL ONE VOICE - VIZAG RAILWAY ZONE

ONE GOAL ONE VOICE - VIZAG RAILWAY ZONE  3rd railway budget of NDA Government is in offing. AP is promised railway zone in reorganization bill and not yet delivered. Opposition  parties raise it as an issue once in blue moon and remain silent. People in power are more interested in felicitations rather than facilitations. Zone proposal is viable, railway minister is clean, hence the decision non controversial. It is a national issue and not confined to AP alone. Requesting the nation to back the proposal and see that Vizag zone becomes reality. Let us reach maximum people with this message and create public opinion. Next two months let us greet and remind NaMo, SP, CBN, VN, Jagan, KCR and other leaders with " Vizag zone AP tone " and see that our legitimate right is fulfilled in upcoming railway budget with firm commitment and budget support. J JAYALALITHA……...THE JOURNEY CONTINUES AFTER DEATH

J JAYALALITHA……...THE JOURNEY CONTINUES AFTER DEATH The journey of film personalities becoming chief ministers began with MGR, followed by NTR & then Jayalalitha Amma. Even after 30 & 20 years after death MGR & NTR respectively are still remembered and considered as the messiah of poor in their respective states and beyond any doubt the most popular Chief ministers. Both were the undisputed top most  heroes and successful in transforming the same image into politics.  With their honesty and transparency in public life, coupled with genuine love for poor and needy, they could conceive and implement welfare programmes ensuring food security with dignity for poor and never compromised in their proper reach. These programs later got the attention of National government and being implemented at country level. Jayalalitha never lagged behind MGR or NTR in popularity and she was most successful heroine in the country. She was regarded as most beautiful and tale...
