LOOKING FOR POLITICAL MILEAGE FROM WOMEN RESERVATION BILL- IT REMINDS ME OF FISHING IN DRIED POND

Looking for political mileage from women reservation bill- It reminds me of fishing in dried pond.

National women parliament (NWP) with empowering women as thematic area is being conducted in AP and it attracted international personalities like Dalai Lama. The absence of Suu Kyi and few other leftist women leaders is clearly visible and looks like the broader perspective to the issue will be missing without inclusive participation.

Regarding women bill which is pending for long it would have been appropriate if it was announced that the bill will be placed in the present session itself.

Instead the minister tried to get political mileage out of the same and made announcement that the bill will be placed once BJP gets majority in upper house.

Who is stopping the bill? Congress extended its support to women bill long back and the Bjp majority in upper house is immaterial for the passing of bill.

Requesting women with folded hands to prevail and see that politics are played in this regard.
